Turkish dried apricots

Soft, sweet apricots with a full, natural flavour and ready to use straight from the pack. Their gentle sweetness and pliable texture make them a convenient ingredient in both sweet and savoury preparations.

Use and flavour

These apricots work well as an easy snack and pair naturally with cereals, yoghurt or muesli. They also integrate smoothly into cakes, muffins and cookies, and add a mellow sweetness to compotes, stews or a mixed platter with cheese and cured meats.

Preparation tip

To plump them up, briefly rinse the apricots, cover with plenty of water and bring to a short simmer. The cooking liquid can be lightly thickened with cornstarch (maizena) and served with the fruit to add extra sauce and body to the dish.

Storage

The apricots are supplied ready to use. After opening, store them in a cool place and use within a few days for best quality.
